About

Grandparents University is a program for alumni and grandchildren (ages 8-12) to come together for a 3-day educational experience while spending time together on the MSU campus.

Participants enjoy the college experience of living in the dorms, attending classes across campus and sampling the many highlights of MSU.

This program is self-supporting and relies entirely on the registration fees to cover all expenses. All faculty and instructors volunteer their time to conduct the classes.

The program is a team effort and is organized and supported by the alumni relations professionals from the following MSU units:

  • College of Agriculture & Natural Resources
  • College of Arts & Letters
  • College of Communication Arts and Sciences
  • College of Education
  • College of Engineering
  • College of Music
  • College of Natural Science
  • College of Social Science
  • College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Honors College
  • James Madison College
  • Lyman Briggs College
  • MSU Alumni Association
  • MSU Extension 4-H Youth Development
  • School of Packaging Alumni Association

Grandparents University at MSU started in June 2006 as an initiative between the alumni associations from the College of Natural Science, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the School of Packaging.

Registration is open to everyone and is on a first come, first serve basis.
